Welcome to St Joseph’s, Carterton.

We are centrally located in an expanding town next to RAF Brize Norton.  The parishioner numbers are growing and the parish covers a large area south of the A40 from the Gloucestershire boundary in the west almost to Witney in the east and extending south to the Thames.

The first catholic church was built in 1914 and then moved about 1940 to a larger building, a 19th century agricultural barn, part of the original core of Carterton.  In 2011 we have refurbished our church and the hall in 2017 making them attractive and useful spaces.

Pope Francis has instructed Catholics to make mission not maintenance the priority.  Please help us to create a vibrant parish with a focus on the Lord Jesus and serving those in need.

The website is a means to serve, communicate, inspire, and inform.
