The SVP  visits people in the parish who may need help or just a chat. This can be in their own homes or In Care. We also support anyone in need or who has fallen on hard times. Visits generally last around an hour and we do not expect members to undertake visits in the evening. Members of the SVP also provide lifts to Church or other places The people we visit are not necessarily Catholic, but anyone we are informed about that agrees to receive help or a visit.
